Threaded brass inserts are used for adding threaded metal holes to plastic parts.
Can also be press-fit into metal parts.

Install Brass Inserts using a soldering iron, press fit or Injection mold around the brass insert depending on the application. External brass insert ridges allow plastic to flow between them, creating a permanent insert-to-substrate bond.

Provides added versatility, durability and better looks when compared to using captive nuts.
Heat Sink and Press Fit inserts are commonly used with 3D printed parts to join them together. One of the best techniques to build large 3D printed parts from small parts when using a small 3D printer. The end results are outstanding and provide a very professional look.
